Project 3721 was packaged through Michaels Electric, who was a subcontractor to Bel-Air Electric Construction who holds the contract for the electrical service upgrades for the Randalls and Ward’s Island Park upgrade project. The project consists of improving the infrastructure and developing of 64 natural grass and synthetic playing fields, roadways, parking areas and facilities. It is located on Wards Island, NYC in the shadows of the Triborough Bridge and is 86% completed.
The project shipped in January 2009 and has since been operational.
There are 9 runs of bus duct rated for 15kV/1200A which help power the transformer and switchgear rooms.
